The Float SPA: a technological innovation

Float cabins are generally operated in public facilities such as hotels and beauty salons. It is therefore vital to ensure that the water used in the tank is kept clean in the most efficient manner possible. The salt water has to fulfil two main conditions: it must be filtered four times after each use, and a constant temperature of 36°C, equal to the body’s temperature, must be ensured for optimal floating. The core mechanical element of the Float cabin created by us is a 1.000 – litre acid – proof, heat insulated water preparation reservoir, in which constant resistivity Teflon – insulated heat cables maintain a constant temperature of 36°C. This solution represents a technological innovation, as manufacturers of other floating cabins currently on the market can only achieve this using a circulation pump and an electric heat exchanger, which requires more energy, furthermore the erosion caused by salt water often damages the pump, and the noise created by the pump disturbs relaxation. The preparation reservoir in the solution developed by us is constructed so as to resist pressure and vacuum, allowing the water to be moved using vacuum and pressure effects.

The path of the water is directed at the bottom of the reservoir using two check valves. Any number and type of filters can be installed between the cabin and the reservoir, allowing ideal filtering even in case of high salt concentrations, as well as a reduction in the time required for filtering and refilling the water into the cabin. The longevity of the machinery is also greatly improved by the fact that rotating and moving parts do not come into contact with salt water. The pool is made of antibacterial acrylic with Teflon – insulated heat cables integrated into its walls, ensuring the constant water temperature of 36°C. Thanks to this, no pump is required for maintaining water temperature over uninterrupted periods of several hours. Water level sensors gauge whether the water is in the tank or the stainless steel reservoir and an electronic system activates heating where required. The water in the reservoir is constantly stirred by a circulation system to avoid slack water from forming. This system allows dissolution of salt in the reservoir when placing the Float spa into operation.
